We are delighted to offer weekly school programs for home schoolers and alternative learners.

This program encourages student-led, inquiry-based learning and supports core competencies from BC’s elementary curriculum through interactive activities in the Gallery, and hands on creation in our studios.

Our winter exhibition, Double Vision, profiles three ground-breaking artists from Nunavut - Jessie Oonark and her daughters, Janet Kigusuiq, and Victoria Mamnguqsualuk - and shines a light on a highly distinctive art form called nivinngajuliaat (wall hangings) developed by Oonark and other women in Qamani’tuaq (also known as Baker Lake) in the 1960's.

We will explore the materials, techniques, and themes explored by these artists both in the Gallery and studio.

PROGRAMS WAIVER

It is a condition of participation in any activity or program provided by or on behalf of the Kamloops Art Gallery, its agents, employees, volunteers and/or Board of Directors that the participant does so at his or her own risk and that the Kamloops Art Gallery and its representatives are not liable for any loss, damage or injury resulting from or in connection with such participation.

In consideration of the Board of Trustees of the Kamloops Art Gallery, its staff and/or volunteers accepting the above named child as a participant in the art class listed above, I (the parent/legal guardian of the child), hereby release the Board of Trustees of the Kamloops Art Gallery, its staff and/or volunteers (collectively, the Gallery) of and from all claims I or my legal representative may have against the Gallery.

I save and except for any and all claims, I or my legal representative may have against the Gallery, arising out of the negligence of the Gallery. I further covenant and agree to indemnify and hold the Gallery harmless from all claims by a third party which the Gallery may bear arising out of the participation by the child/children in the above art class.

Participants will receive a 75% refund of tuition if a request to withdraw is received by the Kamloops Art Gallery no later than 7 days prior to the first day of the course.

Summer camp class cancellations require a minimum of 2 weeks notice prior to the first day of camp to be eligible for a partial tuition refund.

Please email your request to withdraw to: galleryattendants@kag.bc.ca

You may also call and request to withdraw at 250-377-2400.

Kamloops Art Gallery Course Cancellation Policy
