"It has taken me almost all my life to realize that I am where I need to be right now. When I look back in my past, I see a lot of hard times - those experiences have helped me to understand that those dark days somehow imparted with me enough wisdom to keep pushing forward. I did and no I find that the world makes more sense. Overcoming challenges takes courage and when we realize we have what it takes to fight and of our best for ourselves, its amazing how we grow and what we learn. This painting celebrates that moment of realization that we are truly exactly where we need to be right now."
- Mike Alexander is an emerging Anishinaabe artist originally from Swan Lake First Nation in Treaty #1 territory, who lives on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
His spiritual name is Animikianikwad, or Thundercloud Man. A member of the Crane Clan, Mike's art serves to communicate stories and teachings of the Ojibway people

If you are dissatisfied with an item for any other reason, you may return it within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, minus the original shipping charges.
